Floor Preparation

Prior to installation of rubber flooring, floor preparation is very important. New urethane adhesive will not adhere to any subfloor contamination. This concrete substrate had multiple layers of carpet adhesive that must be removed before installation can begin. Mechanical removal is the only method of glue removal recommended by the manufacturer. We use a combination of powered scrappers and scarifiers, as well as elbow grease to remove the old glue. It can be a dusty dirty job.
